A New Chapter for Hidden Moose
For years, Hidden Moose of Wisconsin has followed a simple idea: if we want to understand Wisconsin’s moose, we need to find them first.
Thousands of trail camera images, countless miles traveled, and more than a few mosquito bites later, that mission hasn’t changed.
What is changing is the structure behind the work.
Over the coming weeks, Hidden Moose of Wisconsin will begin steps toward becoming a nonprofit organization. The goal is simple: build a stronger foundation for long-term research, education, and conservation efforts focused on Wisconsin’s moose.
The moose may be hidden, but the need for good data isn't.
Stay tuned. There are some exciting developments ahead.
My Moose Mission
One Person. A Whole Lot of Moose.
A little science, a lot of curiosity, and a healthy dose of moose obsession — that’s me. I track real sightings and collect evidence to shine a light on the secretive giants roaming Wisconsin, with the hope of helping them earn recognition as a resident species in the state.
Why I Do This
Moose may be the biggest animals in the forest, but they’re also experts at staying off the radar. I’m here to fix that. By sharing what I discover — the sightings, clues, and little hints that they’re far more a part of Wisconsin than most people realize — I hope to spark curiosity, build appreciation, and make sure these low-key giants get the recognition they deserve.
